About Las Terrenas

Las Terrenas is the most cosmopolitan town on the Samaná peninsula. Its French community is long established and visible in the bakeries, restaurants and shops along the boulevard, giving the town a character unlike anywhere else in the country.

The Samaná highway put Santo Domingo roughly two hours away, which transformed the market: the town is now a realistic weekend destination for the capital, not just an international one.
